Worldwide spread of NSP’s
From the end of the 1980’s to the present day, hundreds of public swimming pools with Natural Water Treatment (NSP) have been built in Europe. In Germany alone there are more than 400 of them, many of them with a daily capacity of hundreds of people.
Although the idea was developed in Austria and Germany, countries such as Australia, Canada and South Africa also have the first public bathing facilities, clearly showing a trend towards internationalization.
The IOB, www.iob-ev.eu, International Bathing Water Organisation, is the umbrella association of which associations from several countries are members.
